This gecko was found in some plants that came into a business. It's not my gecko but I'm trying to help I.D. it. If anybody has any thoughts please pass them along so we can get the proper care for this gecko.
Sorry for the blurry pics they're not mine.
Thanks for any suggestions you have...
I've had a two of these geckos for about 2 or 3 years now. I had never found any babies or eggs but could hear the occasional 'CHIRPING' sound coming from their enclosure so figured that I had at least one male.
About 6 months or so ago I found a baby in the enclosure with the adults along...
A while back I purchased a couple young Giant Day Geckos. I believe they are related and later determined that they were both female. When they came of breeding age I got a male. I put the male with each female so that only one pair were in the 18""x18"x24" Exo together at a time. Within...
Well I've had a couple of these eggs incubating for around 4 months. Not sure how old they were when I found them. I was starting to think that perhaps they weren't any good anymore when this morning I noticed that both eggs were dislodged from their resting points. When I checked the...
Well I decided it was finally time to totally clean out the enclosure for these geckos and to my surprise I found two little white eggs under the substrate. Now I've candled them and neither of them look fertile but I'm going to try to incubate them just in case.
I did a good cleaning of the...
I just acquired three of these amazing frogs through a trade for some of my geckos. I had to do a quick setup in a 12"x12"x18" exo. I will be moving them to a larger enclosure when I can find one. Would I be better off with a 20 gal. aquarium with mesh top or an 18"x18"x24" exo?
I...
I currently have two female Giant Day Geckos that I had assumed were about 9 or 10 months old. I noticed a big white oval object on one of the pieces of wood the other day which looked to be a big POOP! Upon closer inspection I noticed that there was another one a little higher up on the wood...
While feeding my juvie Gold Dusts I noticed that one of them is starting to colour up nicely. So I thought I'd share some pics. This one hatched on Sept. 8th and is feeding well on Fruit Flies, Pinhead Crickets, Repashy 2-Part and Fruit Smoothies.
Let me know what you think ...
Well ... thanks to Marisa I finally got my first pair of Uroplatus. I've only had them for a couple of weeks but they seem to be doing well so far. They are currently housed in a 12"x24"x26"H Exo-Terra style screen enclosure. I have covered both sides, the back and a small 3" section of the...
I ended up getting a Gehyra Marginata from the Expo thanks to Holly at Xtreme Exotics. However I haven't seen him/her come out yet after being introduced to the new surroundings. But it's been a stressful couple of days for the little critter so hopefully it will make an appearance soon. The...
I recently got a couple of Giant Day Geckos that are approx. 7-8 months old. I posted some pics to try and sex them here .... http://www.geckosunlimited.com/community/day-geckos-phelsuma/41926-phelsuma-grandis-sexing.html.
They are in an Exo-Terra that I split in half for now until I set up a...
Well .... I have a good sized enclosure that I kept my breeding trio in. I removed the male back in January and thought that the females had finally stopped laying eggs. In fact I hadn't found an egg for several months so I put one of the females in with another new male. ( Found two eggs...
Well I finally have my first Gargoyle Gecko. I'm not sure how old it is yet or if it can even be sexed. If the sizes are similar to Cresties then I'd say 6-8 months old. It's super mellow and sweet and I will hopefully find this one a mate by next season.
Anyways .... on to the pics ...
Hey everybody ... I just traded a couple of my geckos for two Giant Day Gecko juvies and was wondering if they could be sexed yet? I will be finding out their age later today but I would guess 6-8 months old. They are approx. 7-8 inches snout to tip of tail.
Apparently they were kept together...
Finally after 53 days of waiting I found a tiny little gecko this morning. It was fairly calm at first but when they start moving they are incredibly fast. So I was only able to get one quick close up. Not very colourful as it hasn't shed yet but extremely cute!!
Here's a couple pics of...
