Do you guys know what to look for when sexing golden geckos? Like do both genders have the little spurs on the side?

so when ever the light is on and my golden can see his reflection he chases it like crazy around his tank, I've tried misting the sides a lot but he still chases the reflection and the water doesn't stay there very long, how can i get him to stop?
