Well, got my first batch of eggs this season. A pair of Underwoodisaurus milii eggs were waiting for me in the nest box on Sunday night. I wonder if both are going to be viable however, the 2nd egg was about 60% of the size of the first. This is this particular female's first clutch however...
Well, not exactly mine but borrowed/improvised/made up based on advice given on here and elsewhere. Whatever its doing, its doing it well as I have a massive population boom now that this is steadily available (was feeding a mix I got with my roaches originally plus veggies before that).
I mix...
Both Levis eggs I was incubating hatched on 11/17 and 11/18. So total incubation time at 81-83 degrees was 78 and 79 days respectively. Whew! I was starting to think that they were not going to hatch though they continued to look "good" almost all the way through incubation. About a week...
I am noticing a disturbing trend in posts here that suggests something bad happening to the leopard gecko hobby....It always starts with "sick gecko and ends with "bought at pet store". Is this just me or does that bother others on here? Are pet stores really that bad that so many sick animals...
Well, thinking about this a bit more I'd like to feed my roaches a little bit more from our kitchen scraps if I can, more to keep that stuff from going into the garbage than anything but also for variety in their diet and food/moisture for free. Right now this is what they get. This is just...
I saw two young female white and yellows this weekend at a show. I thought they were really remarkable looking animals! One had a cool "halo" of blue/lavender/green and orange on its head and the other had more of a spotting pattern of the same colors on a nice tangerine body. But its happened...
I am getting excited for the Tinley Park show. Hoping to get to see some rare knobs in person there!!!! Everyone says that the common ones are pretty plentiful at the show which will be cool to see. Hopefully I'll see some delanis and maybe some stellatus as well. Going to leave the CCs at...

I have three wheeleri that I think are getting large enough to sex, at least for some of your more trained eyes. Would like some opinions and I have searched on here for pics but still can't really tell.
As a side note, can someone write up exactly what it...

As the title says, I have a question about turning off egg-laying in Nephrurus. Can it be done? My female has produced 4 clutches this season and her weight isnt exactly where I'd like it at this point. I acquired her after she had already thrown the first 3. Basically from what I have read...
OK I know its not a huge deal to most folks on here but I'm excited anyway. One of my new (got them at the end of July) female levis laid a pair of eggs last night. Both look healthy to me, nice and white. She buried them at the very bottom of her tub in about 3-4" of damp sand on the...
So whats everyone cooking in their incubators right now?
I have 9 Leo eggs, hopefully a black hole in there :) . One Nephrurus egg went bad on me, I am guessing it wasnt fertile to begin with.
I know these N.milii sexing questions get old but working my way back through dozens of posts there still doesn't seem to be a clear way to do this especially in young adult animals. Anyway, for your perusal my milii, it's about 8 months old I believe and around 15 g.
