Just wanted to share some pics of my growing Aussie collection. Sorry about the cleanliness. I'm in the middle of relocating my entire collection, and my gecko racks have not been moved quite yet.
First up is 1.1 D. Pulcher. I know I've posted these before, but I never get bored of them. It's...
I recently acquired a pair of unrelated L. Dameum, and they have become one of my favorites already. These guys are so bold. I figured these would be like my other diplos, until I saw them in person. I knew they were thinner, but I had no idea just how long these guys really are. I was told they...
And I thought I would take some of my newer acquisitions.
First is my newest Leachianus. It is a pure GTB, about 3 years old. She is a very heavily bodied gecko, being three years old, and nearly 150 grams. I couldn't get her to fire up, but she usually has a nearly red color around her...
I just got my first clutch of eggs from one of my pairs of Oedura Monilis yesterday. This is my third clutch from Oedura so far, two being from Castelnaui. My question is, all three of my clutches have been of one egg. Is this normal? I will update with pics of the geckos later.
I'm looking to switch out most of my sand dwelling geckos, and would like to stay away from spending 100 bucks plus on the few acceptable ones out there. (I have quite a few that are on sand right now)I was curious if others use the following.
Pool filter sand
Sand box play sand
Beach sand
I...
This is my unsexed Pine Island Chahoua. Unfortunately, my camera is horrible. I'm leaning towards female, but would like another opinion to be sure. It sits at around 25 grams.
And here's a top view just because..
Never got to see these guys shed, nor have I ever seen a pic. What was odd was that he never left the wall of the container. Most of my Rhacs would have just fallen to the ground.
So I decided to purchase this guy after some heavy thinking. I didn't have any true African geckos before him. And let me say, I am happy I did. These guys are the coolest, and I have already made plans to get another pair.
The enclosure is crude, I know, but I am in the process of finishing...
Wanted to post some pics of some Aussies I'm working with, or working to find mates for.
First up is my male Oedura Castelnaui. Unfortunately, the female does not cooperate enough to take pics.
Second is possibly my favorite gecko in my collection. Diplodactylus Pulcher male. Still looking...
I was taking some weights today, and decided to snap a couple pics.
First is a Pine Island Chahoua, unsexed but looking female.
Second is the hopeful mate for the above gecko. Pine Island male.
Third is one of my personal favorites. Eurydactylodes Agricolae male. Currently the odd man out...
I have the rare opportunity to purchase two of these geckos from a local store. They have one of each ssp. (Chondrodactylus angulifer namibiensis & Chondrodactylus angulifer anguilfer) My questions are fairly simple, but I want to make sure that I'm not letting my want for these guys get the...
I was finally able to find a female e. agricolae, which I purchased on June 7th. She is a proven breeder for the previous owner, so I have no question regarding her. My question involves the male which has been in my care since March. They're both in 12x12x18s directly next to eachother. My...
I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this girl at a local store for less than 400 bucks! Though I do have a few small concerns. She was in with another leachie, which was much, much smaller (maybe 20 grams). This girl is currently in the 150 gram range. My issue is that I believe she is a Nuu...
I got these guys all at the Long Island show on Sunday. They're not all too settled in, and a few are in temporary enclosures, but I wanted to share all the same.
First is a female sub adult mixed locality giant gecko. My decision came down to either her, or a HUGE black and white GT female. I...
I'm currently talking to someone who's claiming they have freshly imported locality giants. I was wondering if someone could tell me if this is an accurate possibility? The last wild caught I saw was an infertile female that was 6 years captive.. Any info would help me greatly
