It's been a while, here's some content of a few of my geckos. very colorful third generation Steve, the original, and his beautiful scales. Now that I house my geckos outside year-round I have seen a noticeable difference in coloration between my second and third generation animals. The...

    Crimson Grandis Hatchling

Just hatched today! After being incubation for 85 days he finally hatched, he's much bigger than hatchlings in my near 100 day incubated clutch. I was surprised how different the hatchling's patterns are, the only similarity is the facial pattern.

Grandis egg hatched after 97 days

I was very surprised to see my grandis egg that I thought was a dud had hatched! I've had them in incubation for 97 days at low temperature (75F). Has anyone heard of a grandis egg taking 97 days to hatch? I hope everything will be okay with it. It's my first hatchling and I'm really excited...

Just a few recent pics. Lilium, my new crimson female. She's gravid and has been laying eggs non stop since I got her, 5 eggs already! Freya my other female, wild caught from south Florida. She's still very flighty, hopefully she'll warm up to me once I get her in a cage with a door instead...

    Grandis unusual feces, help!

I've had my crimson grandis for over a month now and she's been doing great, and has been laying eggs (a total of 3 so far). I thought she was gravid again because I noticed her start to get a little fatter, but today I looked in her cage and saw she looked a lot thinner. I also noticed a large...

New Crimson Grandis, and she's gravid

I got my new crimson grandis yesterday and I was told she is gravid (she looks it but I've never had a gravid female before so I don't know). She shed last night which seemed to stress her out a lot in addition to the car ride and getting a new home, but hopefully she'll settle in okay. She's...

So I was watching David Attenborough's "Life in Cold Blood" (reptile documentary) instead of writing a paper and I noticed that Steve was also watching with me...sitting like this. I figured I'd start a thread to see some funny pictures of your geckos.

Moss + Grandis yes or no

Hi I won some exo terra forest moss today and I'm going to clean out my tanks and replace the coconut fiber subrate. Since I have this moss now I was thinking about putting it on top of the coco fiber. Is moss okay with grandis? I know it'll raise the humidity and stuff (which I already have at...

    My two friendly (male) Grandis

As some of you may remember I had problems with what I believed was a male/female pair of Grandis fighting. I finally was able to determine that were both male, as was suggested several times. I just really didn't expect their femoral pores to differ so much. One has very defined femoral pores...

    Grandis can't get along?

I made a thread about 3 months ago about one of my grandis being aggressive towards the other one. It was determined that the geckos were too young to breed or be together. Perhaps I'm being impatient but I took both of them on vacation with me and when I returned today I decided to put them...

    Juvenile Grandis aggression

I noticed signs of my female grandis being aggressive towards my male about three weeks ago. Both are about 5 months old and had gotten along perfectly until I moved. When I moved, I also moved them into a larger tank, so they were in a completely new setting. Ever since that move the female...
