well just got boy this morning and so happy with him, he weights 31g right now and in month or two once he is out of quarantine i'll be introducing him to my two females.
cant wait to see the babies this one produces
well picked this tank up last night for a decent price, i'll be converting it but because it's a non standard tank so attaching the door will be interesting. also this is for my tokay gecko i was hoping to get a 75 gal but this is what i manged to find locally that for a decent price.
any way...
well it's been almost 2 years sense i have had any sort of aquarium set up. any way finally got the bug again and set up this little 5.5 gallon over the weekend, not animals yet just plants but i think it looks good so far.
i really need to start checking for eggs more often, found this little guy in his parents tank and it looks like he already went through his first shed.
free at last
why hello :)
yes he has a regenerated tail but for a WC that not that bad and he has some really nice colors
and what i have in right now till i can get the 20h convert completely set up
um about how long does it take these guys to get to full size? just wondering because it's been about 10 months for my baby and while he is much bigger he is no where near as big as his mother. also it's a definite male if that makes a difference.
ok so i was up late last night and i checked the incubator and found this, this the first leopard gecko i ever hatched out so really proud of it. also that night i found a little crestie in my big tank which isn't really new because my cresties are really good at hiding eggs
so white plains was good today and thank fully only came home with one gecko but man is he a great and only $75 which i consider a good deal especially considering i didn't have to pay shipping lol.
now i just have to get his tank set up for him which is easy and hope fully find him a mate...
ok so i do use digital thermometers but i'm wondering if there any of those round temp/humidity gauges (like this) that actually work and aren't of by large margins? just wondering because i do like the look of them.
so found this little one crawling around in my big crestie tank last night so guess i missed finding the first eggs of the year.
but i didn't miss these two lol
i'm wondering if any one had baked gutload into into something like a monkey biscuits? i'm thinking of doing it but i'm not sure what it would do to the gutload, and if any one has done this what did you do?
so working in pet stores you usually get some people who are looking to re-home animal they don't want to take care of. this is one my newest acquisitions as it where she kept on calcium sand and didn't really have a humid hide but is in decent shape.
got her right as she was going into shed...
ok so i know alot of people on here recommend and use roaches as a food source. this is my attempt at a general care sheet and to inform people of of other species then B. dubia and B. Lateralis that exist. so far i only have profiles on roaches i have direct experience with, but i will be...
ok so i'm looking into the mini fridge incubators because during the summer i usually have a problem with keeping the temp down for cresty eggs especially last year when we got those 100+ days. i know some of the cheaper ones arent' that great but i'm only looking to spend about $300
ok so one of my younger geckos is developing floppy tail syndrome, despite him having lots of plants and hides, so im wondering what the most humane way is to remove his tail.
i had been working on this tank off and on for a while now and finally got most of it done last night at around 4 in the morning and would love to hear you're thoughts. and yes i know sparsely planted now but once everything grows in should be much better.
well i know some of you guys keep Isopods in your tanks as clean up crews so i though i would share a picture of one of my little worker at work
and this is where that peace of cork is in the tank, pretty impressive considering that it's a 40 breeder.
