So last weekend I experienced my first Mossy loss. Jinx, my adult female, had been trying to recover from a calcium crash since March. She seemed to be getting stronger and last week I managed to get her to keep down a couple crickets. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the crash got the best...
So its been a while since I posted. Life has been very hectic with designing reptilian accessories, new critters, work and riding my Harley. I thought I would post some updated photos of the two baby U. Sikorae I got from Neil M a while back.

In my hours of researching the various different reptiles I currently own, one thing I have always questioned is do you need UVB lighting? Now I know my beardie definitely does (and has) but what about other reptiles. So without turning this into a huge debate I would love to hear everyone's...
Thought I would post a couple pics of my two recent additions :yahoo:. First up is my juvie desert kingsnake, Mosaic
And then my baby bearded dragon, luna
A couple weeks back, I saw what might possibly be signs that my male and female Sikorae were breeding. So my question is this, Is there a way to tell if she is gravid just by looking at her other than weight gain? I don't want to pick her up and disturb her looking for signs of eggs etc.
I am currently playing with an idea to design a substrate out of styrofoam and grout which would then be sprayed with a water-based varathane just like the rock walls I design. The side where the hides would be would be very think to allow heat from the UTH to get through.
So my question is...
This morning when I checked on Jason and Jinx there was this weird white mucus on the branch they hang out on. Jason was super fired up last night, such a rich dark chocolate brown.
Any ideas? Could they have been mating over night ?
Jason and Jinx are snuggling.....they never snuggle. Ones always on one side of the tank and the other on the other. Pic quality may not be the best but I am sooooo excited!!!!!!
Last few mornings Jason has been so inquisitive about me. When I open the top of his tank to mist he jumps to my side and quickly crawls up the tank and jumps on me. Its so cute.
