Here are a few pictures of this season's hatchling S.c.ciliarus. Two are displaying deeper darks making for some nice contrast, also showing up with more clearly defined diamond shapes on the back. Looking forward to seeing the contrast holds up as they get older. The sire was bred at 8...
I've noticed that one of my subadults seems to have some dysfunctional toes on the back foot and it's impacting its ability to climb. They look a bit "balled up". I changed out the substrated from paper towel to coir, operating on the assumption that it might be old skin.
Has anyone seen this...
I was hoping to replicate the great shot of the hatching standingii from the calandar, but this guy isn't cooperating:)
A couple of random k. questions. Can you really raise a baby on MRP? Like its very first meal? I'm using the TRex product that claims to have been developed by Repashy. It...

My klemmeri have started to kick out eggs. One was laid in crevice in the corkabark at the back of the tank, very precariously. I've heard that people use horizontal bamboo, but never heard a good explanation of how that works exactly. Any help?
In addition. What would a good klemmeri egg...
I finally got my S. cilliarus to lay some reasonable looking eggs and am wondering how folks incubate the eggs. I plan on using a shallow deli cup of vermiculite in a hovabator, but I'm wondering about how moist the vermiculite should be.
I'm planning to get back into day geckos after a big hiatus and decided to go all out on the digs. I only plan on getting a pair for starters and figured I'd blow the bread on aesthetic appeal, which plays well with the wife. I'm totally up for smashing the sides out of aquariums and other DYI...
I have a pair of ciliarus I've cooled and returned to temperature and the female is displaying some odd behavior. She seems bound and determined to squeeze into a cool, dark "drainage" space that is part of an aloe plant pot in her vivarium. It's way too small for her. I'd like to think this...
