    Shedding Problems in L. williamsi

Dire situation! My almost 9 yo L. williamsi male can't shed his skin and won't eat. He can't even grip branches- when he does manage to climb up, he often slips off. He's too squirrelly to handle safely. Humidity is at 60% except after am and pm misting where it is up to 80% for up 30 min. Is...

    My L. willamsi babies

I am so excited that my first attempt at raising them is going so well. I now have 10 healthy juvies and 4 on the way. The mother was quite prolific! They are so cute and quite piggy. They want to eat more than I let them. I can't wait to be able to tell what sex they are. The oldest are 3...

    Questions about raising L. williamsi

I caught a hatchling today ! It's clutchmate hatched 4 days ago and I found it dead two days later; I don't know what happened. This little guy seems vigorous, but I keep reading about how hard it is to keep them alive. He's in a glass enclosure with a screen top. A 5.0 UVB light is about 6...

Can L. williamsi females be dominant to males?

I was sold pair of L. williamsi in which the apparent female gets dibs on the food and stands her ground at her favorite basking spots. She even bit the male's tail once. She is a beautiful bronze and green little thing, weighing 1.1 grams. The male hides out more but is always a bright blue...

Are water bowls necessary for Lygodactylus williamsi?

I have a shallow water bowl at the bottom of my pair's cage and they never go near it, just lap up water droplets when I mist them. Even with a rock in it it seems to be just a drowning pool for small insects. Would an elevated water bowl be good?

New owner of a pair of Lygodactylus williamsi with UVB lighting questions.

Hello! I am wondering how a T8 Tropical 25 (25microwatts UVB per sec) bulb by Zilla compares to a 5.0 Reptisun by Zoo Med. They seem to use different ways of measuring UVB ( % vs. microwatts/sec). Is the output of UVB similar? I want to make sure I have the right lighting for my little guys.
