Got my first aussie gecko last weekend, 1.0 Oedura monilis. A beautiful species, hopefully I'll find a female or two for him.

Me and some friends went out to look for some Triturus cristatus (northern crested newt) a few days ago. Its their mating season now, and the only time of the year that you can find them with certainty. Not only did we find both males and females, we found both sexes of the other newt sp...

I guess these "sexing threads" are kind of boring, but Stenodactylus are really hard. So any help would be appriciated. I'm guessing what i have is a male, based on the smaller size (i had one earlier, that was a bit bigger and more stout), and i've heard somewhere that females are bigger...

Does E. agricolae have any particular preferences when it comes to laying their eggs? I have witnessed a number of copulations with my 1.1, but havent found any eggs yet. So either there has been no egg laying, or I've missed the eggs... Tips are welcome :D BR Rickard

Does anyone use UV-B for their Eurydactylodes? I read in a publication that Eurydactylodes might be partly dinural, wich is something that my own observations support. So is there anyone out there using UV-B lights for Eurys? If so, have you noticed any effects from it (changes in apperance...

My agricolae seem to have some trouble finding the crickets in their cage (which is quite spacious). I have tried using a food bowl, but they seem to dislike going to the ground for food. Any tips on how to feed them? I'm going to try to put the food bowl in a elevated place. Feeding fruit is...

I was just wondering if its possible to sex my two henks. They are about six months at the moment. Personaly i find it very difficult to notice any differences between them, so maybe they are the same sex? Animal no 1. Animal no 2.
