I just got back tonight with a few new Uroplatus I got from Timm and decided to take some pictures while putting them in their tanks.
First is a nice plump female phantasticus:
I also got a pair of U. sameiti, the female:
The male:
Well the other day I woke up and stumbled into my gecko room to turn the lights on and saw this in my phantasticus cage. Sorry for the poor picture quality, I didn't want to disturb them, and I was still half asleep. They were on a plant that must have fallen off the glass during the night.
First up is my young cb splendens:
Next I got a pair of kuriowae:
A pair of orientalis:
Probably my favorite, a trio of yamashinae:
A huge thank you to Matjaz for the splendens; Sune for the kuriowae, orientalis, and yamashinae; and Timm for bringing them back for me.
Male:
Female:
I also have a pair of scincus, but they were hiding tonight so I didn't get any pictures of them. I would like to eventually expand my collection into the other species: roborowskii, przewalskii, and keyserlingii.
Hi, guys, Tuesday night was my last World Religion class and we were briefly going over some of the smaller religions, one of which included Zoroastrianism. Our handout mentioned the name Angra Mainyu. It described him as the satanic head of evil forces and a wicked spirit that opposed the...

I'm gonna have another couple of posts with the rest of my Uroplatus in the next couple days.
On 6/23/07 my pair of U. henkeli laid a single egg in the nest box. I had not had them very long and the previous owner didn't have any success. The egg was perfectly round and appeared fertile. Since then I have gotten several clutches, all laid on the wall, leaves, or branches and misshapen...
I recently saw an ad on Kingsnake for a proven pair of Fimbriatus and the seller said the female has a regenerated tail, which makes it a better breeder. I was wondering if there is any truth in this. I don't think that this would make a difference, but does anyone else have any input?
i bought two "adult female grandis" and picked them up tonight. they were delivered in a pillow case, so there was no way of telling sex until i got them home, he said one was a little small but still a female. when i got home i discovered one was a male, and the other is looking like a male. i...
ok so in most gecko species lower temps provide females and higher temps provide males. also, the higher the temps the shorter incubation time and the lower the temps the longer the incubation time. i believe all this has already been established. so is it possible to incubate for female for so...
I was looking through all the threads in this section and didn't find a whole lot of info on these guys. I used to have two juvies but they all of a sudden dropped dead on me within a couple days of each other after having them for about a year in perfect health. I'm thinking about getting two...
