I was hoping to get ideas on a crestie issue I have.
I rescued an adult female nearly a year ago that was is horrible shape (skin and bones, broken front hand, feet completely wrapped and twisted by old shed...) and she's done a complete 180. She looks great. But we still have the problem...
I'm considering getting my hands on one of these, they've really been a favorite of mine since I did a couple of tissue regeneration research papers a few years ago.
I'm wondering if anyone has one? And if anyone who does has any tips or opinions on these guys as pets?
I know this is a horribly subjective question, but I'm looking into getting a species or two of day gecko and I'm investigating different species. So far I really like the little Pea**** gecko. But I wanted to hear from owners what species they recommend and why.
I know that some like the...
What is the average air temperature within your tubs if you keep your geckos in a rack system? I'm just curious to see if mine fall within normal or if I should do more to improve circulation.
With the repticon show in Tampa coming up, if anyone from the forum going to be there selling cresties and fatties in particular (or species like that)?
They've been severely under represented at the last couple shows I've gone to an I wanted to see if anyone from here would be there with...
Wow, I am beside myself with excitement! Last year in May I purchased a young giant Tremper from a local breeder, and I was really excited because she was going to be my first giant. About a month or so later a friend left her enclosure open and she escaped. We looked for weeks but were never...
I'm madly in love with the two male fatties I got at the Repticon Orlando show yesterday. Gosh, I can't believe I haven't been able to get into AFT's earlier! They are sooo cute!
I went to the show with the idea of getting either a couple fatties, or a really nice male crestie. Sadly, there...
[Edit] Help me name him! :D
Just got this little guy a couple days ago, and I still can't get over how small he is. He could just chill on a quarter with no problem. So cute! (in a geeky kinda ugly-duckling kinda way lol)
Here are some pictures. Excuse the blurry-ness.
Who would guess...
I know that there are several tricks for inducing ovulation (at least in leopard geckos, I'm not so familiar with any other species) like putting the paper substrate of the male in the girl enclosure so that she can smell his hormones.
But this occured to me the other day as a curious way to...
I've never done a progress list like this, not even on my art blogs or galleries, so I thought it might be fun. :D I'm also extremely proud of how this chameleon is turning out so far, so I hope people get a treat out of watching it come together too. Sorry that the photographs aren't that...
I'm a little curious to hear if anyone has tried doing anything creative for their geckos that live in racks. Obviously if you have 150 animals I don't expect you to do anything that isn't efficient and clean, but for those of us who don't have dozens and dozens of breeders, are you doing...
I, or well, my roommate, finally finished the website. There are still a few little layout things that need correcting (like a couple awkward white spaces or how the sample pictures in "artwork" don't pop up quickly) but those will be corrected tonight.
I would just like a couple people to...
I'm planning out this coming season's breeding groups and I'm wondering whether to use one male or not.
What, in everyone's opinions, would produce nicer hatchlings -
Really nice Sunglow x Tremper albino
Really nice SHTCTB x Tremper albino
I want to get tangerine/ish albinos for a project I'm...
