Silk Worms

Has any body had any experiance with raising them? I bought some but couldn't keep them alive for longer than a couple weeks. I want to start breeding them as they are so expensive. I have heard they are one of the best feeders out there, nutrition wise. Thanks for any advice.

The biggest thing to keeping them is staying clean. Disinfectant antibacterial soap will improve your success by alot, just wash your hands with it anytime your going to be working with the worms. Also be sure to be keeping them warma nd to not let mold and bacteria accumulate on the uneaten chow.

im preparing to start raising silk worms soon, im gonna start with 100 medium silkies in a shallow plastic container with chow and see how it goes, the only problem is im keeping them in a tool shed (build seperate from the house), its not heated or air conditioned but im hoping since its summer, the temperatures will stay balanced enough for them to be ok
