the smallest enclosure ive kept a pair in is a 15 gal tall. i find the most activity from my satanics when i switch up the tanks or switch up who is in the tanks. im not keeping 4 in a 30 gal long, maybe 40. breeding uroplatus takes a lot of time and patience. try giving them a bigger enclosure so you can give them areas of lots of cover, then areas with just some branches/vines to give a lil more room to move around. mine absolutely love ficus trees, so if you get a bigger tank youll be able to fit some of that in there at least. this is also a species that cannot tolerate neglect, youve gotta spray them at least once a day, id say. i normally spray mine at least twice, once during the day and once shortly after lights go out (and sometimes right before i go to bed too). also, keep food readily available and let the female get fattened up. sometimes its still pretty difficult telling that your female is gravid though.

i always mist 3 to 4 time a day (when i wake up, when i come back home, when i close light, when i got to bed)

what do you use for nesting boxe??? i use a mix of sand and vermiculite...

thx for your help

i dont use a nesting box actually, i just keep a real good eye on the females to see if they show signs of laying (when they spend more time than usual lurking on the ground), and sometimes i just look around for eggs. they're good at hiding them at the one angle you cant really get a good view of, so be sure to look over well. also helps to watch her weight, two eggs can make her deflate pretty fast.

Hi attchoum,

Uroplatus spec. doesn`t need uv light! Save your money and invest it in a bigger vivarium  U. phantasticus needs a cold period for 6-8 weeks in winter with temperatures under 10 degrees Celicus.
Put many leafs on the ground and the geckos will place their eggs between them.

Au revoir,

Michael
