wow... this is the first topic i have started...
Ok, well the desert banded gecko breeding season has officialy kicked off for me with my first clutch of the season last night so i decided i would do some experimentation with some laybox substrate (continued from last years experiment) So far i have found that my girls absolutely refuse to lay in any substrate but a moistened vermiculite/playsand mix. They refuse in bed-a-beast, peat moss, vermiculite, perelite, and any other substrate. Just thought i would pass these results along to any other banded gecko enthusiasts that are having trouble getting their females to lay (this only applys to north american banded geckos, I have no experience with the centrals)
