Couple Questions

Well I just witnessed my satanics breeding. So when should i expect eggs and how long to they take to hatch?

Also...I sometimes have a problem with gnats in the plants. Is is possible, or alright for both animals, to put a couple of mantellas in there to eat some gnats? It's just a thought.

I believe it takes about 30 days for female satanics to lay their eggs once they are fertilized. You also must remember that just because you witnessed copulation, that does not mean she is in fact gravid. As for the gnats, I wouldn't worry about them too much, but, if they are bothering you a lot then I wouldn't see the harm in letting your mantellas eat them. I don't think it would cause either animal any harm.

As mentioned the gestation period would be around 30 days. However I wouldn't recommend putting any mantellas in the viv, as an alternative I have a friend that has succesfully used some carnivorous plants in their U. phantasticus viv.
