Does it matter if my U.guentheri eats a bit of substrate when he hunting for the crickets. Each time he grabs a cricket after he just try to get the substrate off. So my question is, would it matter if he eats a bit of substrate when hunting for the cricket??
thx

I'm using eco earth. It just seems like he doesn't like it at all to have some in his mouth. He's like rubbing his face to get it of on the side of his mouth. Anyways, I hope it doesn't really matter. And what should I do if it does.
thx

I use the same thing on mine right now. I have not had any problems with it but I would sugest packing it down tight so that it is FIRM that will drop the chance of him geting any in his system.

Thanks

I did what you told me. Now that the substrate is firm he doesn't get as much and just keeps hunting. thx for the help.

i personaly think eco earth needs to be mixed with real dirt, and some clean sand.
it's not really dirt so plants won't thrive and it's fibers can catch in the corners
of the mouth and create issues sometimes. it packs better when there are more items in the substrates profile.

just my two cents
