I picked up this nice lookin' female fimbriatus at White Plains today. I was told she was a year old and she is about 7 inches. Think she is able to mate with my 10 inch male?

7 inches is closer to half of full size. i would hold onto her and fatten her up, let her grow a bit...those things get up to 12 inches total length. not only that, but you want to keep her aside from him for a while for quarantine/observation.

it might take a while to get her to breeding size, but she is quite a looker.

I've got a friend with a female that's pushing 13 inches, and he's pretty sure she's still got some growing to do, I hope you know what you've gotten yourself into.

13 inches is adult length. She would be considered pretty much full size there.

As for the female at 7 inches... until she's at least 10 inches in length and
pushing 70 grams... she's too small.

Even that 10 inch male is got some growing to do. my largest fimb was a 13 inch male lovingly named "big papa." I sent him to some one at Duke university. Scary thing was that he grew 2 inches while with me and put on nearly 10 grams in weight.
