First off, welcome. Glad you joined The Geckophile :D

I would recommend you start with one, wait and determine its sex. Then opt for another one. Assuming it is a juvie, i would just say go for the 10 gallon, then when it gets about 5 inches total legth move it to its permenant enclsure(at least a 20gallon tall)
Here is a pic of my old 10 gallon(doesn't exist anymore)

One thing, i changed the bark to papertowel a few days after wards.

New adult enclosure. 18x18x18(roughly 25 gallons)

2. When young papertowel is best. But when they become adults you can use bed-a-beast

3.Alternate crickets, babyfood/clark's diet

4.I haven't tried clark's, but i have heard nothing but good things, i would opt for clarks.

5.Definately. Exo-terra makes a fake vine that is wonderfull. Also LOTS plants too. Here are some pics of the vine and some plants.

6.75-79degrees F during the day, and 67-72 at night. I recommend a digital thermometer, and a digital hydrometer

7.They don't really NEED it, but it helps create the day night cycle, and it also makes the tank look nicer and more professional. I would get one.

Few care sheets

I use the rubbermaid containers for pairs or trios for breeding. Real easy to use and very cheap. I just cut a descent size hole i the top of it and replace it with screen from like a screen door. Add some paper towels, some cork bark, moist hide, some fake ivy for cover and your good to go. I've been useing these for the past 5 years. Humidity I keep my guys at about 70% with only misty at nigth so nothing starts to mold. You want the tank to have some time to air out between misting.

if you want 2 then get 2, but be prepared to separate them if one or both turn out to be male. if for whatever reason you are set on having just one crested enclosure then you should just get one to start with. i warn you though, it's hard to stop at one. :p

lol i noticed i didnt even buy them yet and i want more.lol
so basically i should wait!! to see wat the sex is of the one im getting. wat sexes can you house together? just females, and one male and 2 females?

well you can't keep 2 males together. and you can't keep males and females together unless you want to breed them and they are ready to breed. so, it's really up to you what you want to do... i know that doesn't really answer your question, lol. maybe you should just start with 1 gecko for now?

yea i think thats wats going to happen...lol unless he makes me an offer i cant refuse...would i be able to trade for a female?

that's pretty doubtful unless one of the males is really nice and just happens to be what someone with extra females is looking for. but again, that's doubtful.

that may be your best bet for now. you can get more than one if you can house them separately until then, but otherwise you should just get the one for now.

Well it depends if you WANT to breed. Breeding is very time consuming, and costs lots of exta money in enclosures, food, incubators, vet visits and many other things. Really you don't NEED 2 cresties. I would just start out with an unsexed juvie and pray it is a female. If it is go shopping around for another female, if it is not, one crestie will keep you entertained for a very long time. They are always up to something new
