Introducing Mel

Hi all, I have been around here for a few months (although rarely post) and realised I haven't yet posted an introduction topic thingy. My name's Mel (duh) and I'm 26, live in South Australia. Have only just started keeping reptiles with N. milii being my first species. As soon as I saw this cute geckos I just fell in love with them so have 2 females (I think) and maybe one day when we have a house of our own I'll be able to expand the collection.

Outside of this forum, I'm a public servant working in the water branch of the state government, have been there for a couple of years and don't mind it too much. I majored in Animal/Environmental Biology but found it tough to find work so what are ya gonna do. In my spare time I either have my head in a book or glued to the TV set as it's a bit of an addiction I'm ashamed to say. I'm also involved in 5 local environmental groups which is fantastic fun because I get to go away camping over the holidays and I love being outdoors (plus it gives me the opportunity to see some reptiles first hand).

Anyway, I think I've now finally introduced myself sufficiently! Oh, I do have one very embarassing question... what do those numbers mean in people's sigs where they list the species they have and then there's a bunch of numbers?

Hi Mel.
Glad to have you here...

1:0:0 means 1 male
0:1:0 means 1 female
0:0:1 means 1 unsexed

welcome Mel. how long have you had your Milli? its funny to see someone start w/ them as opposed to a leopard or crested or AFT as is common here in the states.

Thanks for the info, Justin, much appreciated :)

I've had my milii since around June last year, oscar. Don't know what it is, I just fell in love with the species :)
