well, you're basically going to be looking at 2 different species if youre talking about the smallest, which are the satanics and spearpoints. they're both basically the same size, of course satanics have the greater overall length since spearpoints have tiny tails. the spearpoints just tend to be a little bit more heavy-bodied. ive heard others recommend ebenaui, but i cant personally since ive never had them myself. but it's true about the satanics, they can be problematic. ive run into my fair share of problems in the past, but ive stuck with the species because ive had success breeding them. ill let someone else describe their setup(s) for ebenaui, but as for phantasticus, they do well with dense foliage, some favorite plants for them are ficus and pothos. but of cours,e you can experiment on your own. its also a good idea to have leaf litter on the cage floor, as it will provide a good laying spot if you happen to get a breeding female. breeding is pretty much up to your animals, but it could help out to feed them heavily and keep them humid. they dont necessarily need "brumation", but after theyve bred for a while, ill separate the females from the males, step down the light cycle, and slow down feeding (slowly of course, cuz the female still has a lot to recouperate after breeding).
