some of you migth know or have read about the trade that i made several months ago with a reptile importer based out of florida. i traded 12 crested geckos and 7 giant day geckos for 9 leaftails. they didnt have any leaftails at the time, but they said they'd be sure to let me know when they got any. after a few attempts to give me mostly males or nearly half the number of geckos we agreed, i finally got word the other day that they're coming through for me. i was hoping to get something like 4.5 satanics, but instead ill be getting 2.2 satanics, 2.2 ebenaui, and 1.2 henkeli. 2 more animals that i bargained for, im guessing its because they didnt want me to leave with a bad taste in my mouth. nevertheless, im happy it finally came through. i pick them up on tuesday after my interview in florida. worked out at just the right time. i cant wait to see what they look like. im definitely going to be more careful about my trades from now on, even people ive done business with several times. the spearpoints will be a new one for me, but i already have a tank set up for them and cant wait to see how everything turns out.

be expecting pics later in the week after i get back.

picked them up around 1 on vday...one female henk is a bit dehydrated, but ive got plenty of leaftails back from that state in the past. i wouldnt say any of them are spectacularly colored or anything, though one of the female has a nice subtle pattern to her. both the female satanics are juvies, so they probably wont be breedable for a year or so. one of the female spearpoints is on the smaller side too. but one of the male spearpoints is gigantic! i know ebenaui tend to be a lil bit bigger than satanics, and ive seen a lot of spearpoints before at shows, but never one this huge!!! im beat right now after 12 hours of driving, but the new arrivals are in their tanks, sucking up water droplets. hopefully ill have enough energy to snap pics for everyone tomorrow.

thanks...i forgot one more tidbit of good, but not the best news...i got an infert from my female corkbark....i made some drastic changes in the enclosure lately, including adding some heat which i think is helping some things out. this is the one i actually saw mating a while back, so hopefully she's stil retaining a little. id love to get some eggs from them! ive never had so many geckos laying infertile eggs at once!
