New to Knobs :)

Hello!

My name is Desire' and I am new to the knobtail scene. I have been browsing this forum mainly for info, and have picked up a couple of care sheets and kinda can pick out different species.

Now, I was wondering, can everyone post pictures of their Levis Levis? I would love to see the differences in color as well as I believe their are some albino ones floating around! (or maybe this is a different knobtail species) Please do put what color morph they are, or whatever so I know the color "lingo" for when I am shopping for my own pair :)

Last but not least, I hear to incubate their eggs like Leos...and was wondering. Are they easy to breed, like leopard geckos? I know you need to cool them, but after that is it pretty simple? :)

Sorry Hi Desire - Welcome

Ken is correct - the albino of the Nephrurus Levis subspecies is Nephrurus Levis Pilbarensis, great species. I guess it depends on your budget as if I am not mistaken but the Levis subspecies are rather expensive in the USA?

I would start of with Nephrurus Levis if you are a newbie to the hobby or even Underwoodisaurus Milli.

Hello back everyone! Matt I already know you! ;) And i am soo jealous of your Levis! Please, keep me in mind if your male "got lucky" and your gonna get eggs! :)

How many subspecies of Levis are there?

Levis Levis
Levis Pilbarensis
Levis Occ...you know..

I am SO confused now. I went to www.knobtails.com thinking that those were the species, but now there are MORE! Anyone have a page I can read with pictures of all the subspecies?

I've never met a gecko family with so many subspecies! Now matt, those are levis levis? Or levis Pilbarensis?

The ones you listed are the 3 subspecies of levis. The other knobtail species are amyae, delanei, leavismus, stellatus, asper, sheai,vertebralis and wheeleri (proba not spelled right). Awesome geckos. It's easy to get addicted to them.

Thanks Justin! Are there any subspecies to any of those species of knob tails? Also, does anyone have pictures of the N. Sheai and N. Vertebralis? I think I have seen pictures of everything else...

And thanks Desire, yes I will let you if I get any babies from those two. I don't think there are any other subspecies besides the Levis ones, but I'm knew to these to...... so maybe someone else has some information.
