Don't really know where to post this

After being gone again for a short while and things are sort of getting back to normal, though really it will never be the same again. A week after my post about being back again, my mother passed away, she was battling cancer for the 2nd time within an 8 year span, this time though was very hard to deal with for everyone. She passed away peacefully at home. The roughest part about it all was my daughter asking questions, it's extremely hard to explain someone passing away to a 4 year old. I find it a little easier to get away from thinking about all that has happened, by staying in my reptile room and keeping busy with all my critters.

we had the same thing happen in June when my wifes grandfather died. She was very close to him and my son just did not understand where he was. My son is also 4 years old and it was really hurting my wife try and explain it to him when he had no idea what we were talking about. I'm sorry for your loss.

my condolences, kimberly. i agree that its tough living through someone else's battle with cancer, i cant even imagine how difficult it would be to battle it personally. my mother gave me the dreaded call my sophomore year of college. i still remember it now. she found out she had a very aggressive type of uterine cancer. fortunately, she responded very well to treatment, but believe me, it was rough just thinking about what could happen. it always helps to have good friends there to help you talk about it and deal with it, and the animals are even better for helping you get your mind off it. nevertheless, my heart goes out to you and your family.
