Don't think so. I have no personal experiences wiht this species, but i've heard that a low sand layer is better than a natural (high) layer because of the massive weight of such a layer. And it will be much easier to find eggs in a low sand layer.
Give the proper shelters should be necessary, i think.

You can doo it eathier way.Natural will make it a little harder to find eggs.And a little harder to keep a close eye on em.Racks are just simple.2 in layer of sand,and 2 hides.And a very hott spot.Thats how i would keep them.
