10g vert basking?

Does anyone keep Phelsuma in smaller sized tanks like 10g verticals? How do you create a basking spot for them in such a small tank?

I keep mine in 10 gallons split down the middle taller than it is wider so it's a 5 gallon pretty much, I also silicone a bamboo perch in at like 1" for the top which gives them a good spot to bask

What I mean is, what kind of bulb do you use to fit over the tank.

I use a flourescent bulb but a plain old light bulb should work just fine.

And the fluorescent gets the temps up to 85F?

I use a 13w compact floro and my perches get up to around 85*F.

yeah mine gets to around the mid 80's when close enough

I do like Brandon does and use the UV tubes for the basking source. I suspend bamboo so close to the screen lid that its only an inch from the bulb. The temps are in the mid to high 80's F (depending on the room temp) right about an inch or 2 from the bulbs. This also ensures that your Phelsuma get hammered with UV light.
