Leopard gecko substrate

Hi,
I know that paper towels and slate rock are probably the best to use for Leos, but I was wondering about Sani Chips. I have been to quite a few places where people are using this substrate, and the Leos have been doing fine for years. I also know of a few breeders who swear by the stuff. Are they crazy, or are Sani Chips OK to use? Thanks for the help.

If it can be ingested in any way then its not a good substrate. Even if its to big to ingest if a smaller piece can break off or it can break apart at all then NO is your answer. Its better to be safe then sorry.
