evidently, the editors let a lot slip without actually doing their research. on page 12 of the most recent issue, someone asks about the "flame" morph, and none other than bill love himself pictures a nice red....but no flame pattern.

sheesh, the misunderstanding about crested geckos colors/morphs/etc gets worse by the day!

after getting a more thorough read, im shaking my head somewhat at the blurb they have about breeding mossy leaftails too. granted, i was never successfully able to get those to reproduce, but theres points in there that dont seem quite right.

yea, ive only had a subscription for about a year now...seems theres always something wrong with each issue. leah/jason, what did you think about the article about breeding sikorae? to me it seemed pretty poor. did you ever have a gecko fuse to the cage furniture when humidity got too low? would you ever recommend incubating uroplatus eggs at 82 degrees? have you ever hatched a uroplatus egg in less than 80 days?!

im debating whether or not to send a letter to them...but i feel like it would be worthless...

Are you surprised? I sure do miss the days of The Vivarium. I think we should all persuade Philippe to start another magazine. Reptiles satisfies a particular demographic, but I think some of the more experienced hobbyists need a more advanced read. Herp Review is excellent! There are a few good mags in Europe.

Reptilia, I really like, but its hard to get with regularity here. Jason has written several letters to Reptiles about many of their sub par articles, they apologize and print more..

Nathan, no, I am not surprised. THis one was just particularly terrible.. LOL
