Humidity vs. Ventilation

I'm wondering how you guys accomplish a high humidity (~80%) and at the same time have adequate ventilation. I've been fiddling with my tank for a few weeks now. And when I have a fan on to ventilate the humidity drops to 50%, but when it's off, it goes up to 85%. HEADACHE! What do you guys do?

i have never had to bother with a fan, but you could expect humidity levels to drop in that case, unless you somehow maintain a high humidity in the entire room.

So how do you have adequate ventilation?

You can get a humidifier from wallgreens for like $20 it'll keep the whole room humid.

I grow orchids and i use a cool humidifier. That keeps the humidity 80 to 90 in my room i keep a fan on for 12 hour! But i do have a lot of orchids and i mean a lot, so that might help with the humidity too! The humidifier is on for 12 hour on a timer!!
