Matt,
Please tell me you are breeding that guy!!! Do you have any offspring from him yet? Do they display any blue coloring. I have seen several blue youngsters before but never one that maintained so much blue into adulthood. I breed grandis and I would love to get some of his offspring into my breeding projects. I also breed Phelsuma klemmeri.
I would very much like to buy some of that guy's babies or trade for some klemmeri.

If that animal never passes on his genes it would be a terrible, terrible tragedy. Honestly I'm pretty upset that you aren't breeding him because it is such a sought after treasure you have there. So many of us who are really into grandis would love the opportunity to propogate that guy and try to get a blue bloodline going. I have been looking for an adult blue grandis for years with no luck. You have to breed that guy, Matt!!!!
If it would help get you started I would happily give you one of my 4 prized adult females that i produced and raised myself. She is the picture of perfection. She is yours for free if you would just put me at the top of the list when you start to sell the offspring. Im not kidding just say the words and she's yours! I'll even pay to ship her to you - Anything to help add more blue grandis into the hobby. Please breed that guy for all of us that love grandis!!!!

So, that female you were flaunting there... is that the same animal that you have posted here? Because HERE you say here its a male and you are looking for a female. But on the KS post you say you have an adult blue female. So, whats going on here?
If you ask me, you just have a P. mad. mad x grandis. Nothing special...
P. mad. mad. males commonly turn blue when they hit sexual maturity, just like yours did. You just have a part grandis, part mad. integrade that shows the blue coloring on its' back just like most male mad mads. The coloring we see on your grandis' back is exactly the type of blue hue that we see in the mad mads... and since they are the same species and perfectly capable of interbreeding...
I retract my earlier offer of sending you a female grandis... Instead, if i want to produce animals like yours, I'll just get a mad mad male to mate with my grandis females, then hold back a male or 2 and wait till he matures and turns blue.
Then, I'll just go around and very casually post pics of it as a "grandis" and make it out like its no big deal... You know, for the attention and compliments.

I was just a 5th grade kid and new gecko keeper at the time I purchased this gecko and it was sold to me as a female. I never really questioned that because I really had intention of breeding him. Later I found out do to more research and the help of some fellow gecko keepers. He may well be a cross I have no idea, he was WC so I think the chances are slightly less. Anyway I still think he looks cool whatever he is and I do intend on breeding him, there is no way to prove whether he is a cross so I am assuming he is pure and I heard that crosses are infertile so we will see what happens. I really don't appreciate your accusing attitude, you make it out like I was trying it trick someone, all I wanted to do was share some pictures of my favorite pet.
