lighting and cooling vivarium

Anyone have ideas for or currently use 'cool' lighting? I need some low lighting for plants w/o the heat and would rather not use fans as a source of keeping the viv cool.
All links, ideas, or recommendations are appreciated.

to get light without heat you need to look into led's, most other sources will produce heat in differant amounts depending on the light levels you need. or have a barrier between the light viv with a small fan keeping the the area cool an not effecting the viv conditions,

You could watercool the light, but that would be a bit overdone, expensive and difficult to setup. Not to mention up to a 20% light loss.

Use an incased light with plexiglass as the window, then have a fan to suck out the heat.
You can make one or buy expensively made for reef tanks.

ESU makes a series of Freshwater aquarium light called Coralife, that are great for the very application you want. They do not put off any significant heat and are beneficial to the plants in a naturalistic terrarium.I use them on my Felinus tanks. The model# I use is 58103.
