Queensland Meet?

Hey guys

I was wondering if anyone (Queenslanders/nation wide/ world wide) would be interested in a BBq/Meet up early September in the Bris area?
This invitation is open to *everyone* (not just the Queensland folk) who may be visiting around this time, but as there seems to be a lot of people from the Brissie area who regularly write to this forum, it may be nice to put faces to names?

Would anyone be interested?
And if so, would you prefer just a low key 'get together BBQ' or some sort of 'outing' (eg: Aust Zoo or similar?).

Let me know your suggestions.
I'm thinking of Sat 9th Sept (that gives everyone plenty of notice), but happy to hear other suggestions.

Including whether you think this is a silly idea/waste of time. ;-)

Im having one in September, will have to check the date. I have around 20 or so people from Sth East QLD coming and your more than welcome to roll up. Sarah, can you please pass on the invitation details i sent through to you if you have the email address for GeckoHunter.

Yup, did mention it to Mil last time she came over Jayson. I don't think I told her the date though as I hadn't remembered myself LOL!!!

Weekends are more or less out for me as thats when I work now but if you were doing an Australia Zoo thing you are more than welcome to drop into my place afterwards (sat after 3 pm) which gives me time to get some sleep after night shift.

Sounds good! Sarah did mention it to me in passing (she couldnt remember the date off hand) so I'll wait for her to PM me with details. **hint hint Sarah**

If anyone *is* interested in doing a Crikey World... errr sorry.. Australia Zoo, excursion, then let me know . There is also Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary near the Gold Coast which is also supposed to be quite good.

Thanks for the offer too Dr Danny. Let you know if anyone is keen to head Aust Zoo/Sun Coast way for a 'point and drool' gecko session? :wink:

I'd love to take a trip to Australia zoo. I've never been, so it'd be fun to check it out.

The details for the bbq are at work, so I'll forward them onto you tomorrow Mil

Well if you start planing now and just ask for $$$ off everyone for Xmas, then just jump on a plane for the event in Jan...Would be fantastic to have an intrnational flavour, and im sure we can russell up somewhere for you to stay
