Please state your opinion!!...

Please give me your very best opinion...

Are corkbarks easier to maintain than mossy leaftails???

...or are they also to be kept in very cool & moist conditions just like mossies???

I'm asking this cuz I'm also hoping to acquire a breeding colony of corkbarks (peischimanni) in the near-future......

So give me your best feedback, pleeeze???

Thanks guys!!

From what I've head corks are some of the hardiest of the uroplatus, even moreso than henkeli in many cases. Mind you, this is hearsay, and not personal experiance, however. Still all Uroplatus will fair best in lower temps and higher humidity.

good luck,

From my experience with pietschmanni they are fairly hardy but they are still a more advanced species of gecko and require daily attention if they are to thrive. I keep mine fairly cool (low to mid 70's) the majority of the year, I try never to let them rise above 80. I used to think that they needed a warmer and drier enviroment but they have bred for regardless of temp and humidity. They may be hardier than sikorae but they have still turned out to much more difficult to breed.

Oh well... The uros are my second favorite gecko genus but what Im not feeling so far is that theyre so delicate and fragile to be kept as hardy captives, just like chameleons, imo...... :(
