N.deleani colours

one of my male deleani has a very yellow-orange colour and almost no dark line or spot comparing to the others.

I'd like to know more about the variability of deleani's colours.

NB: I have pictures but can not post it (no URL)

Hmm...they tend to vary in colors Nicolas. But if you can upload some pics on photobucket.com and then they give you 3 things to do in order to post on a forum like this...you will be using the
one...

Hi Nicolas,

My deleani range in color from reddish, orange, yellowish, pinkish, to brownish. It appears that there is a lot of individual variation in this species when it comes to coloration as well as pattern (striped, banded, speckeled, to not much at all). Hope this helps.

Regards,

Derek

Hi guys,

Thanks for the nice comments.

Ari - deleani are pretty rare in other parts of the world too but they are great to keep!

Jon - the animal on the left in the last pic is indeed a levis. I just thought it was a cool comparison shot =) Deleani and levis are about the same size as adults although levis usually wiegh more because of their fat tails.
