hey do any of you keep uromastyx? im intrested in keeping them myself and just wondered if you guys had any experience with them. thanks

They are very curious animals. I love her and would never give her up. Care is fairly simple. Hot, dry, and a diet of mixed greens (same as the mixture of greens you would feed to a tortoise or bearded dragon). Some species of uromastyx take crickets 1-2 times a week. The only problem I have ever had was with one mali uromastyx. I spent over 400 dollars on surgery before I had to put him to sleep. Ill admit I cried. He was an awsome animal.

Yeah I lost one of mine after about $400. Had an internal abcess which was to small to cut out and patch up the gut.

Uros are very cool. Although it's one of the more intensive things I keep.
