Hi again!

Hmm, they were already together or not :? ?!? I didn't get it so exactly ...?! May be becuase english isn't my native language ...

If they haven't been together she can't hardly be pregnant!

If they were together she will be pregnat for sure ...

The weight is from my opinion the lowest minimum ...

If she is pregnant she will be laying in about 4 or 5 weeks!

Yes a nestbox would be great or surely easier for you to find the eggs, if she takes that box for hiding her eggs ...

Important is that the place to lay the egg is humid, warm, a lot of soil to grasp and well hidden ... and that all other places in the cage are not as intersting for laying her eggs ...

Otherwise she will put it may be on the floor, where may be the eggs have to dry place or in a pot of plant were the eggs are the evetnualy as well not well put in the soil and have to dry or other excamples ...

I have less soil on the ground, all pot for plant are covered up with stone and only one pot is filled up with loosy soil for the eggs in a corner which is covered easily with a bark ...

Just to give an idea ...

As I would advise an incubator ... In the net may be you can find as well some instructions to build on on your own ...

hey thanx Peter! yes they were together for a short time before i realized that they were not fully grown and should be seperated. what should i look for in an incubator?? and where/how should i incubate? ive been looking and ive found the Herpovate to be popular, but i was hoping for something a little bit smaller :( because im really only giong to be incubating a few clutches, im not on a grand scale or nething. Anyways thanx agian and hope to hear back soon :)

A friend of mine incubates his rhacodactylus eggs in small boxes full of humid vermiculite, at room temperature. It seems to go well.

Hi rshiery88,

You can tell if your female is gravid by gently palpating her belly for eggs. They'll feel like two oval pebbles and may move slightly. (Be VERY gentle if you do this.)

For my layboxes, I use tupperware containers that are large enough for the female to turn around comfortably. Make sure that the laybox substrate is nice and moist. You can use a variety of different substrates such as coco-fiber, peat moss, sphagnum moss, etc.

Once a female lays her eggs, I place them in a home-made incubator. You don't need anything fancy for crested geckos. Just a Tupperware with a few holes in the lid and moistened perlite or vermiculite. Place the eggs in the perlite, put it on a shelf at room temp, and wait. ;) Be sure to check the moisture of the perlite every so often so it doesn't dry out.

Good luck!

Hi,

If you don't want to incubate a lot of clutches, so seperate them again (I guess you did already, if I understood you right) ...

But anyway it could of one copulation form 3 to 5 clutches because the female can retain sperm ...

Would be a pity if you let them laying eggs and don't incubate them ...

In front is usally written the species

for example in my Signature:

Rhacodactylus ciliatus (crested geckos)

Then:
1.0 means one Male
0.1 means one Female
0.0.1 means one unsexed juvenile gecko

So in my example:

2.4.4 means 2 Males, 4 Females, 4 Babies (or just unsexed)

Hope, this is enough expained ... ;)
