After having my cats seperated for a little over a week, I can see the eggs in the females abdomen. Is it possible for her to have redeveloped the eggs so quickly after she reabsorbed them a week and a half ago?

Oh, she weighs 22g is this large for a cat?

22g's is about right for a gravid female. At that weight I'd say she's probably pretty close to laying. My guess is that she didn't reabsorb. She just pooped a big poop, which made her seem a few grams smaller and fooled you.

Yeah, 22g is a well advanced gravid female. When I first had my pair I would second guess all the time if she was gravid.. but seeing that sort of weight on a female is almost better than actually seeing that she's gravid. There aren't many females that can hold over 20g without being gravid. None of my females get that big, usually about 18-19 g at full gravid weight.

Im planning on getting a female that must weigh at least that when shes not gravid.

Well that would certainly be a larger than average female. But not impossible. If you scroll through the old posts, Marcus said he once had a female that was 28g's when not gravid.
