Your assumption is correct. You've got yourself some S. stenodactylus. They are a great species to work with. I have a large colony of them myself, and they're one of my favorites.

you are correct, Stenodactylus sthenodactylus. They are amazing, very beautiful, and extremely fast if they want to be. I am looking to get more, currently I only have a pair.

I think that you'll find them pretty easy to keep. I have my whole colony (2.5 right now, but hopefully growing soon) in a 20L tank. There's a warm spot about 8"x8" that gets up to 90 during the day and drops to 82 at night, which I see them use day and night. It's pretty funny when I walk in the room and 5-6 of them are all hanging out together on the warm spot and they all look right at me.

There are multiple hide spots and rocks in their enclosure, but they all seem to like to hang out together rather than separate, and they like to sit on top of the rocks a lot.

I give them a spray once or twice a week and feed every other night and they will breed with no additional effort on your part.
