Premature hatch..

I had an egg hatch today prematurly. I'm a bit worried about it cause its very small, very transparent and not moving much. It pretty much lays there breathing and twitches ever so often. Its been 3 hours since it hatched and is still alive from what I can tell. Its yolk was absorbed before it hatched but I'm still worried that it wont make it. Most crawl out and go looking around, this one just sort of fell out and laied there.

It probably wont make it. But never the less treat it like you would any other
baby leo and keep it in a moist container till it would shed. Healthy babies
can go without food untill their first shed. Best of luck with it. poor little
thing, i wonder what causes that?

I dont know what causes it. But the little fella passed away last night. I did'nt think it would live. It was so small and transparent and weak. I doubt it would have even had enough energy to eat even if it did make it over a night old.

Yeah I do remember that one. T_T I hate loseing babies. Even if you have them for just a momment you still are attached to them some what enough to feel sad and upset over it.

I'm so sorry to hear of your losses. It's so hard to watch somthing we love suffer when there is nothing we can do to help them...

Sorry to hear of your loss. A baby is a baby and their death will always
hurt. It will happen again im sure but at least we know what to expect.

The other egg has not hatched yet. Hopefully it will not hatch till it is time to hatch. And hopefully it will be healthy. This time I will be ready for it. I have just moved and most my stuff was packed up. I ran around like a chicken with its head cut off when the other hatched. Just trying to find the plastic containers that was packed up and other stuff that I needed.

That sucsk oukan.DId you feed it to any animals?I always do that when something dosent make it out and dies in the shell.

reasons for premature.
Fluxuating temperatures.Bad genetics, and a number of other things. So just hope it dosent happen ever again. But sadly. It probly will.

No I didnt think it would be a good idea to feed it to anything. I guess that habit or preferation comes from me breeding chickens. It was a general rule to never feed anything that comes from chickens to chickens. Cause if you fed them raw eggs or any raw meat product then they would start eating thier own eggs when laying them and peck at each other for the fact that they got use to the taste of it. So when ever the thought of feeding something that I dont want an animal eating to it comes to mind I instantly think NO. XD
