Their not really hand feeders.Best thing to do is trow the crickets in their cage.

somethings that might be causing him to not eat might be,
Temps arnt right, parasites,if hes new,or just might not be eating.

ik know ....
it might be that the temps arent that good
but its warm enouth
84 F ( I think, here in belgium we use celcius)
is that to warm or to cold ?
sometimes the temp gets higher at the end of the day.......

i can't handle him....
its like a rocket this phelsuma
....
i got only leopardgecko's and i handle them all ...sometimes i think that a phelsuma was'nt sutch a good idea becouse i can't handle him
i like to work with animals that i can handle...
i'm scared that he might jump out of his cage becouse she is sutch a rocket....(she did before
:( )

I had two grandis hatch last week and I have been hand feeding them twice a day since the second day. I use a long peice of rounded bamboo and dip it into a watery food mixture and place in front of the Phelsuma- usually they start lapping it up immediately- if not I gently touch their nose with the food and they will lick it off - You have to be carful to not over feed them or they will regurgitate their meal- If you are in a warm area I would recommend taking them out in the sun for a couple of minutes- as my buddy Joe Farah say- The sun is like breast milk for baby Phelsuma- Also if they are not going after crickets you might try something smaller like fruit flies-keep us updated Baker

What type of substate are you using??? It sounds like the symptoms of a gecko with intestinal blockage of some sort. Is it possible that is whats going on? Did your gecko maybe ingest some dirt or woodchips or something?

Do you notice any swelling on the underside of its abdomen?

How old/ big is this grandis that won't eat?

Sometimes adult females will refuse to eat prior to laying eggs....

Also, I have heard that diurnal lizards will sometimes lose their appetite if they do not get UV light and if they're not receiving the proper nutrition.

Can we see some pics of your setups and the grandis that won't eat?

the phelsuma is now 15 weeks old ...
i use spagnum
no, i dont use woodships...
is saw some shit on the glas that looked okey to me....
it was fresh btw....

BTW - we in the States call an animal doctor a veterinarian or "vet" for short.

Glad to hear its passing its waste and its not a blockage - thats good :D
