well last weekend i got hold of 2 lined leaf tails. theyre both males. i know 99% of the time males shouldnt be kept together but ive read that its ok with leaftails sometimes. so i wanted to know what you think about it(im guessing its that i should seperate them) but theyve been living together for the past 5-6 months or so with no problems what so ever.. and if i should seperate them thats not gonna be a problem since i have an empty 65 gallon tank. either way i just wanted to show some pics of them theyre my goofy boys with black tongues lol.

as far as keeping multiple males together...just keep an eye out for any signs of aggression. one of the easiest ways to tell, at least among satanics, is for bite marks, which should be fairly simple to distinguish.

in general id say seperate them. ime even if they are not physically showing signs of combat, one may still be bullying the other while you are not watching. over time when i have kept males together, i have definately noticed dominance issues, enough for me to suggest one male per enclosure if you are not trying to encourage breeding (a specific circumstance). and even then not on a permanent basis, unless your enclosures are ectremely large, which it is not. after keeping two lone males together for two years, one bit the others tail off and wounded him pretty good on the head as well...mind you i thought they were fine together the whole time. theres a lot of interaction we are unable to see because of there night time habits.

I kept a breeding group of 2.2 lineatus resulting in 4 healthy eggs before a sold them to a friend...i never noticed any agression, but i also had them in a big terrarium with lots of cover and climbing space.
