I realized that I haven't posted any pics of my Tribolonotus. Out of all my herps, they really stink  but are the most interesting to observe.

Should I use a q-tip to remove the mite on the male's nose or just leave it? I fed them by hand once but I like to watch them go after the roaches, which they absolutely love. They tend to hold onto prey for quite some time. They also built a really cool tunnel system in the dirt/peat mix (~4 inches deep).

Do they actually smell? That water bowl looks so clean. Mine filths the waterbowl up or splashes it all out.

Well, they don't stink (they actually smell like dirt) -- their poop stinks -- even worse than a yound crested's. I just cleaned their cage and was taking weight before putting them back when I got these shots so that's why the water bowl is so clean. They do get it full of gunk though and I usually have to scrub it out eod. They just have the largest and worst smelling poop -- and in the water it's even more so -- UGGGHHHH!!
But they certainly are a fun and interesting herp....

It might improve with time as the gut bacteria returns to what it was before they got stressed from being caught, etc.
