Phyllurus platurus..... this gravid female was found on a south-west facing overhung rockface at about 11pm. She didn't move for the entire time i was taking photos (flash going off, lots of movement etc etc).

Nice photos Henry.
They like a south west facing rock to catch the heat of the dying sun. Pretty common on my neck of the woods. Remember a few years back taking an overseas herping mate to show him some in July on a reserve by the harbour. Out they came onto the heated rock like clockwork as the sun went down-one of the few reptiles about at that time of year. With some manipulation he was able to get photos with the harbour bridge as a back drop.
