Simulating the Breeding Season

I thought I seen before that you can actually trick the geckos into thinking that it is their breeding season by lowering the temperature??? If this is possible, what are the guidelines in doing so? Example: what temperature? change the temperature thoughout the day? how long must you continue doing this? and anything else that would be helpful.

breeding stimulation

Yes, this is possible, in fact many breeders do this to get their breeders stimulated.

You are supposed to shorten the amount of daylight time to about 6-8 hours and drop the temperature about 5-10 degrees. You are supposed to do this for at least 2 months. This makes the gecko feel like it is winter. Then put the hours of day of to 10-12 hours, increase the temperature back up and start feeding the geckos a lot of crickets (be careful with how many you feed it). This is spring/summer. Now the geckos should be stimulated so now you can put them together and now let them do their thing.
