Heyho everybody!

I have a pair of crested geckos for at least 2 years now i think and was very sure, that both are female.
But one month ago i found 2 eggs, and now i noticed that one of my geckos jus lays eggs again and I wondered how she could if there was no male...

and I examined the old eggs and I'm sure that there was no embryo in it...
so could you please tell me, if a crested gecko can lay eggs without insemination?

hmm....i'm so confused
;)

Hello, to my knowledge it is possible for a female to lay infertile eggs, could you post a few pics of the other gecko she is living with. Since youre not absolutely shure its female i might be able to tell you what the deal is, please if you can include his/her rear end. Neways, theres no reason for alarm, if the gecko is two years old and is producing eggs then she is most assuredly of safe age to do so, and they are most likely infertile.

hey, thanks for the reply!

i found out that there was only one egg, so it is certainly infertile. and yeah...i think i'm quite sure that the other one is a female too, because they're both older than 2 years and there is absolutely no sign of a hemipenis or such things...
i think crestet men should be easy to identify

thank you!
