found some whoppers in the adult holo tank yesterday...came up overnight...i am assuming these have grown because of the overly damp and humid conditions in the viv............has anyone else ever experienced this and if so what was the solution

cheers!

How damp is it exactly? For the most part I keep the surface dry. Do they look like they are growing out of the decomposeing wood?

no they are growing out of the surface I think, but I never thought about the wood tbh as its buried under the substrate I completely forgot it was there lol :)

mushrooms are the "fruit" of mold pretty much. It should be pretty easy to get rid of. Just clean out the enclosure and wipe it down with some disinfectant spray. Maybe keep the enclosure dryer, unless it is a specie that requires high moisture.

I only had mushrooms in Uroplatus enclosures. I never found a remedy although they didn't harm the animals.

Wouldn't it be a little hard to take apart a living viv and clean it? I am just curious about this, because it seems like it would really be a task to get it back the way you wanted it in such a short amount of time.

Do you have any pictures of the enclosure? What kind of top is on it, or what sort of ventilation do you have?
