theya re getting cheap now cause they have discontinued the older design

They have? What does the new design look like? Are you sure your not getting confused with the design Zoo Med made?

I dont think they have made a new design. You are probally thinking of zoomeds and they arnt near as good as the exo-terra.

Exo has a all screen cage . . maybe that is what your thinkin about. . . as far as I've seen they only have "old" style. I've never seen any other type of exo's besides the glass ones and the all screen ones. . .

I see now that it is made by Zoo Med but looks almost identical to the Exo-Terra I think a little better but basically the same

I have both. The exo's are great for feeding with having to open one door. Smaller opening, less chance of escape! Just picked up four 18"x18"x24" Zoo-med's and they seem to be built much sturdier. Overall, I like the zoo-meds better.

I have never had a problem with sturdiness with my exos. I would like to get a zoo-med one day and try them out.

Maybe study is the wrong wording. The Zoo-med's seem to be more well built. The four Zoo-meds are all consistently well built, with less gap size around the doors. I have Dart frogs and feed out fruit flies and have had to do some work to FF proof the Exo's.

Ok I have never paid that close attention to the exo-terras door gap size. I could see where that could be a problem if you are feeding FF.

Yeah, the smaller exo's have large gaps between the sides, unlike the larger ones. Sometimes when I open the enclosure door the gap gets wider and the gecko runs out, lol.
