Well, this type of topic has been posted before, but since this is the first time it happened to me, and since it was such a pleasant surprise, I hope you'll forgive my indulging myself in this post.
I've had my Turner's gecko for nearly two years already, and in that time, I've noticed that he has a preferred pooping area, (makes cleaning his cage so much easier than it would be otherwise.)
I've also seen him eat a lot of crickets, climb and even occasionally fall off the walls and "roof" of his terrarium, and even take a peek around the top of his hide whenever it was "safe" and something interesting was happening around him. (His hide is a half-log sitting on it's "end," near the back of the terrarium, with the open end facing the wall. It works fairly well that way.)
But in all this time, I've never heard a sound coming from his terrarium that I couldn't attribute to yet to be eaten crickets.
I only drop 4 or 5 every other day in there, so they don't get to settle in or last very long, but every once in a while, a male cricket will hide out in the plants long enough to give himself away by chirping at night. When that starts to happen, I just stop feeding until the chirping stops.
However, this evening, I heard a couple of very distinct "toots" coming from his terrarium, right after feeding time. Either the crickets where being extra irritating today, or someone was exceedingly pleased.
