Satanic Tail Loss

One of my Satanics just dropped her tail.
I have never had this happen before and have the following questions:
1) Cause? There was no sudden movements or noises in the room to scare her.
2) Regrowth? I have read that it will not grow back but have also read that it will. What is correct?

When this happens unexpectedly it's not a good sign. I have only seen mortality following this. I can only say this with two instances of 10 or so satanics that I kept for any length of time. This doesn't mean it will happen to yours. I would recommend keeping them humid and leave them alone. DO NOT handle or try to watch it. Just leave the geckos be is your best bet in my experience.

On the few ones who dropped their tails only one male has survived.
It happens last year and he is in perfect shape now, his tail regrow very slow maybe 2mm in 8 months!!

It's always cause by stress, in your case I think your female do an egg-bound (dont remember the term.. egg retention??).
Just put her in a fresh and peacefull place with great egg laying site (coconut, big leaves), and give her calcium+D3 mixed with water (drop on her nose).
