Tokay Call Question

Hi guys, I was playing some tokay calls on my computer a few days ago and my tokay started to do the "tokay" call back.

I've been wondering, do only males make this noise or will females too? I've been wanting to get a mate for him/her and I've been to lazy to get him out of his bamboo to sex him/her so if only males make this noise it makes it alot easier, haha.

Males and females have make a call. I like the males call better. Tokays are very vocal geckos, if you get a pair you will get woke up in the middle of the night from their calls.

My male calls allot, i have been woken up a few times from his calls but i have yet to hear my females call.

By now i only have a female, but i never hear her "calling", only when i must cath her, why?? it´s because she is pre-adult (8 months old)?? :?:

The only times I have heard my females call are when I am in my reptile room and my males is calling. Females are alot more quiet than that the males.

I'm stickin with Cliff. My female has made noise when the male was calling. . . like in between calls. Dont know why shes calling back sense they are in a 24x18x24 cage. . . no need to call and wake everyone up lol.

lol yes . . yes it does. however the kids need to be more quite when doing it.
